Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counseling Psychologist-Athletics to provide direct clinical services to student athletes. This is a 12-month, full-time appointment with a comprehensive benefits package, professional liability coverage, and salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and ethical counseling/therapy, assessment, and evaluation to students with a focus on student athletes.
  • Offer effective resolution of psychological emergency situations via daytime and after-hours emergency coverage.
  • Provide clinical services in the CAPS-Athletics satellite office during hours determined to best meet the needs of student athletes.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program (ABD acceptable) by date of hire.
  • Successful completion of an APA or CPA accredited doctoral internship in professional psychology by start date of employment.
  • Eligibility for registration as a licensed psychologist in the State of Illinois within 18 months of start date of employment.
