Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Driver Helper to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a Driver Helper, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist drivers in delivering customer orders and loading/unloading products
  • Drive pilot vehicle for oversize loads, adhering to safety regulations
  • Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
  • Plan and pace work efficiently to meet productivity goals
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to read and understand maps, routes, and road signs
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include regularly riding in a truck, working in various weather conditions, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
