Job Summary: As a Support and Care Professional at Dungarvin, you will work with individuals who require assistance with daily living tasks, emotional support, and guidance. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support, guidance, and assistance with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
- Build relationships with persons served and teammates to promote a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Participate in community events and activities that enhance the lives of individuals we serve.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to address specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, best practices, and strategies for delivering high-quality support services.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A minimum of three years' experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and mental health conditions is preferred. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and current auto liability insurance are also necessary. Computer skills for documentation and ability to perform personal cares are essential.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $45,000-$65,000 per year, depending on location and experience. At Dungarvin, we value diversity and inclusion and strive to create an inclusive culture that supports employees and individuals we serve.
