Job Summary

Holt of California is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide variety of rental equipment, including large and small construction tractors, forklifts, and prime/stand-by power generation units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain rental equipment, including driving to machine locations
  • Handle all types of field service calls, including equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests
  • Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, making repairs and replacements as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Write service reports and order parts as needed
Requirements
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write service reports and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds, frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be outdoors, with frequent exposure to weather conditions, noise, and vibration. The employee will be required to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
