Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Building Systems Engineer to join our Integrated Facility Solutions (IFS) Group. This full-time position is responsible for performing and reviewing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and Fire Life Safety (FLS) system assessments, as well as providing technical direction and guidance to project managers on MEP issues.
Responsibilities- Perform MEP assessments and prepare reports, including visual observations of heating and cooling equipment, lighting systems, and major electrical systems.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with property owners, management personnel, facility engineers, and local government officials to develop an understanding of current facility operations and conditions.
- Review available construction documents, as-built drawings, and system sequences of operation to determine the condition of the building.
- Provide estimated costs to remedy building deficiencies and communicate with clients and management to discuss and develop solutions to recognized MEP system concerns.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying new and existing legislation and advising management on necessary action.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of commercial/industrial engineering consulting or design experience with a solid understanding of all major MEP and FLS systems.
- P.E. in mechanical engineering and/or CEM, CEA, CBCP, or CMVP certifications are preferred.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000, as well as the opportunity to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. We are an equal employment opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
