About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Medical Technician to join our healthcare team on Saturdays and Sundays, providing exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive personalized and high-quality care.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established protocols.
  • Ensure all resident medication orders are current and correct, including dosage, changes, and discontinuations.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to centrally stored medication.
  • Observe residents for medication reactions and report to the resident physician.
  • Document changes in resident health conditions or mental status.
  • Assist with daily care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, dental care, and incontinence care as needed.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Technician or relevant certification.
  • Previous experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients if required.
  • Availability to work Saturday and Sunday only.
