Job Summary:

At Ford's Garage Liberty, we strive to deliver a unique and enjoyable dining experience that transforms our patrons into loyal supporters of our brand. As a Kitchen Sanitation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all dishware, pots, pans, and cooking tools are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. You will maintain an organized and hygienic dishwashing area while ensuring the kitchen is stocked with clean utensils. Additionally, you will assist in waste management and uphold cleanliness throughout the establishment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Adhere to attendance policies and procedural guidelines.
  • Ensure restrooms are kept clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor.
  • Perform opening setups, manage side work, and complete closing tasks.
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met in the dish area.
  • Keep the work area neat and organized.
  • Clean and maintain floors according to established cleaning protocols during shifts.
  • Regularly sweep parking lots, back docks, and kitchen areas.
  • Follow instructions carefully and exercise caution when handling chemicals and machinery.
  • Dispose of waste and debris appropriately.
  • Execute job functions in accordance with performance standards.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned by the General Manager/Department Manager.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork in all tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of basic restaurant hospitality and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Good hearing for safety and effective communication.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is essential.
  • Capability to adapt to significant temperature changes and frequent hand immersion in water and cleaning solutions.
  • Possession of valid food safety certification or any other required food/alcohol certification.
  • Compliance with the dress code and appearance standards, including wearing black slip-resistant shoes.
  • Ability to pass general information and departmental assessments with a score of 90% or higher.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and wiping are required.
  • Regular immersion of hands in water is necessary.
  • Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
