Veterinary Care Specialist

About the Role:
Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the success of our urgent care center.
Key Responsibilities:
• Master lab procedures, including manual differentials and advanced diagnostics.
• Perfect your radiograph technique while prioritizing patient safety.
• Detect signs of illness, disease, or injury in our patients and communicate effectively with pet owners about treatment plans and updates.
• Calculate drug doses and create anesthetic plans to ensure patient safety.
• Mentor and lead Veterinary and Hospital Assistants in shaping the future of veterinary care.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and step up as a shift lead to ensure optimal patient care and seamless case delegation.
Requirements:
• Graduate from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program or equivalent qualification.
• Washington State LVT license or ability to obtain a WA license within a reasonable time.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a licensed/credentialed tech.
• Passion for continuing education and commitment to completing 20 hours of CE every two years.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and willingness to get hands dirty safely.
• Working swing shift hours: 5 eights 3:30pm-10:30pm or 4 tens 12:30pm-10:30pm
Perks & Benefits:
• Competitive pay: $30.00 per hour, including commission + $3/hr for swing shift.
• Sign-on bonus: $500 welcome bonus after first 6 months.
• Full-time position with 35-40 hours per week.
