Senior Veterinary Technician Leader

Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities within our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Excellence: Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and clinic protocols, monitor and ensure the quality of patient care, and oversee staff assignments to optimize clinic workflow and ensure efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Support veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff, foster a positive, collaborative work environment with open communication, conduct daily huddles to address concerns and share updates, and maintain a professional, respectful work environment by addressing negative talk or gossip.
- Client Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns with professionalism and empathy, and assist in resolving client issues and escalate to management when necessary.
- Management Communication: Identify and communicate areas for improvement in clinic processes to management, document and report situations to management as needed, and actively participate in weekly management meetings to address clinic needs and concerns.
- Staff Training & Development: Train and onboard new staff, conduct LVT Check-Ins at 30, 60, and 90 days for new hires and document progress, conduct quarterly LVT reviews to document progress and goals, and assist with Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions.
- Scheduling & Communication: Ensure effective scheduling and communication with staff and clients to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care.
