About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Excellence: Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and clinic protocols, monitor and ensure the quality of patient care, and oversee staff assignments to optimize clinic workflow and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Support veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff, foster a positive and collaborative work environment with open communication, conduct daily huddles to address concerns and share updates, and maintain a professional and respectful work environment.
  • Client Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns with professionalism and empathy, and assist in resolving client issues and escalating to management when necessary.
  • Management Communication: Identify and communicate areas for improvement in clinic processes to management, document and report situations to management as needed, and actively participate in weekly management meetings to address clinic needs and concerns.
  • Staff Training & Development: Train and onboard new staff, conduct LVT Check-Ins at 30, 60, and 90 days for new hires and document progress, conduct quarterly LVT reviews to document progress and goals, and assist with Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions.
