Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

About the Role:
BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping patients overcome opioid addiction and achieve long-term recovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility
  • Develop and review treatment plans with patients
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans for patients
  • Other related duties as determined by the supervisor

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or Master's Degree in Behavioral Science
  • Minimum 3+ years of individual counseling experience or 2 years with a Master's Degree
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
  • Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
