Job Summary:

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team. As a Registered Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. You will work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to promote and restore patients' health through the nursing process. Your primary focus will be on supporting and educating patients and their families throughout their hospitalization, while actively advocating for their needs and responding to changes in condition and/or response to treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain nursing history, perform nursing assessment, and develop plan of care for patients.

Demonstrate ability to perform head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, considering adult, geriatric, and general patient populations.

Perform patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age, and demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.

Follow the five medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors, and demonstrate ability to assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills.

Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity, and identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Requirements:

Graduate of a school of nursing.

Current Registered Nurse License, in the state of Maine, BSN preferred.

Current ACLS and BLS (PALS desired), and TNCC desired.

One year of nursing experience preferred.
