About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Randstad Global Capability Center. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical handling equipment, treatment and verification systems, and supporting utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with engineers to establish design requirements for new or existing mechanical systems.
• Utilize CAD software, such as SolidWorks, MicroStation, and IGRIP, to create detailed drawings and models.
• Ensure designs meet company regulations and client standards.
• Support the procurement of equipment by developing procurement packages and reviewing vendor submittals.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 1-3 years of related experience, depending on the level of the position.
• Ability to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Engineering-in-training (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
• Experience in equipment design analysis in DOE or commercial nuclear facilities.
