About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the clinical and operational activities of the Pulmonary Medicine department, including clinical coverage, physician staffing, nurse practitioners, and RNs. The ideal candidate will bring a proven background in department leadership, program development, strategic planning, change management, and clinical leadership to the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of medical staff
  • Create a vision and direction for the department
  • Provide leadership for operational issues
  • Design and implement policies
  • Be an active physician within the practice
  • Mentor and train clinical staff
  • Play an active role in Quality Improvement
  • Recruit clinical staff, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to grow the department
  • Manage expectations, duties, and activities of physicians and nurse practitioners
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Unrestricted PA medical license
  • Graduate from an ACGME-accredited program
  • Pediatric Residency Board Certified - Pediatrics
  • Graduate from an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in a pediatric outpatient practice
  • 3 years of experience in practice leadership and change management
