Chief of Pulmonary Medicine Leadership Position

As the Chief of Pulmonary Medicine, you will direct the clinical and operational activities of the department, including clinical coverage, physician staffing, nurse practitioners, and RNs. The ideal candidate will bring a proven background in department leadership, program development, strategic planning, change management, and clinical leadership to the department.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily clinical operations of medical staff
Create a vision and direction for the department
Provide leadership for operational issues
Design and implement policies
Be an active physician within the practice
Develop practice-oriented education
Mentor and train clinical staff
Play an active role in Quality Improvement
Recruit clinical staff, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to grow the department
Manage expectations, duties, and activities of physicians and nurse practitioners
Qualifications:
MD or DO
Unrestricted PA medical license
Graduate from an ACGME Pediatric Residency
Board Certified - Pediatrics
Graduate from an ACGME Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
5+ years of clinical experience in a pediatric outpatient practice
3 years of experience in practice leadership and change management
