Pulmonary Rehabilitation Technician

Temple Health is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing routine pulmonary function testing, exercise studies, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. You will also provide pulmonary rehabilitation diagnostic and therapeutic exercise to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, airway resistance, and thoracic gas volume.
  • Conduct exercise studies, such as O2 titration and 6-minute walk, resting energy expenditure.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
  • Provide pulmonary rehabilitation diagnostic and therapeutic exercise to patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Associate's Degree from an AMA-accredited school of Respiratory Care.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • CPFT or RPFT certification within 1 year of hire.
  • CRT or RRT certification.
  • ACSM-EP (American College of Sports Medicine - Exercise Physiologist) certification preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and/or pulmonary function testing.
  • Experience in calibrating equipment, performing quality control procedures, and conducting clinical exercise tests preferred.
