Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Representative to join our team. As a Medical Billing Representative, you will be responsible for posting medical charges, working with management to ensure accurate diagnosis and procedures, and balancing charge/payment batches daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post medical charges generated from providers
  • Work with management to ensure correct diagnosis/procedures are reported to third-party insurance carriers
  • Post cash, check, credit card, and money order payments collected at check-out
  • Process credit card payments received in the mail
  • Balance all charge/payment batches daily
  • Work with management on billing trends/issues identified at charge posting
  • Follow up on missing charges/tickets
  • Bill for no-show charges daily
  • Post payments (ERA's, incoming mail, personals, etc.)
  • Assist with bi-weekly collection letter mailings
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Responsible for maintaining an acceptable level of posting accuracy
  • Complete work within authorized time to ensure compliance with departmental standards
  • Assist with other departmental needs
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in medical billing
  • Experience level: Experienced
