Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Health Information Technology Specialist to join our team at Community Health Partnership of Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the electronic health records systems within our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain electronic health records systems to ensure accurate and secure patient information.
  • Train healthcare staff on how to use the electronic health records systems effectively to improve patient care.
  • Ensure patient information is securely stored and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with the electronic health records systems to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate health information technology systems with other healthcare systems to improve patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in health information technology to provide innovative solutions.
  • Provide support to healthcare staff in utilizing health information technology for patient care, including travel to various locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist (CHTS) is preferred.
  • Experience working with electronic health records systems and knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
