Job Summary

The AVP/Client Services Banking Officer I role is a key position that requires a strong liaison to deliver exceptional client service to our Heritage Bank of Commerce brand. This individual will work closely with the Relationship Management team and Operations team to welcome new business and manage existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key liaison with clients, conducting client service activities, handling client requests, and completing transfers.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with Relationship Managers to deliver and provide tier 1 support for basic cash management solutions.
  • Deliver and provide tier 2 support for cash management solutions, including boarding new account set-ups on the business online banking platform.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a focus on retention and service, providing exceptional customer service to all clients, prospective clients, and Bank employees.
  • Maintain a superior knowledge of banking operations, following proper procedures to mitigate risk to the bank, and completing operations work accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct customary teller functions when needed, assist clients with new account opening, and ensure proper documentation is in compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • May manage direct reports and provide supervisory assistance and guidance, ensuring facility and security issues are managed and escalated as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of success with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Displays a customer-focused attitude with the ability to engage customers, build personal connections, and exhibit professionalism.
  • Proven time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and make necessary decisions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner.
Compliance Responsibilities

The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job-related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance-related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance-related materials.
