Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional - Mental Health is a critical role at Shangri-La, responsible for delivering personalized services to individuals residing in a Residential Treatment Home. This position requires a high level of empathy, understanding, and support to help residents manage severe and persistent mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supportive services to residents, following a personalized service plan.
  • Work collaboratively with the Housing Manager to ensure the well-being and safety of residents.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health support.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current Oregon Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check screening.
  • Minimum of one (1) year education and/or experience in mental illness, emotional/behavioral difficulties, or other related conditions.
