Job Overview

Position Summary: The CSS Project Coordinator is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and oversight of project or operational processes to deliver essential business solutions within specified timelines and budgets, while ensuring compliance with quality standards for medium to large-scale projects under the guidance of the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients throughout all stages of design, production, installation, and commissioning of CSS projects and modifications.
  • Organize, schedule, and secure all maintenance activities for non-contract customers.
  • Draft comprehensive scopes of work to develop projects and modifications consistently.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines.
  • Ensure timely and effective project delivery in accordance with established milestones.
  • Provide management with updates regarding issues, concerns, gaps, and potential changes to delivery dates.
  • Oversee the guaranteed completion date and escalate needs for additional resources if project scope changes significantly.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams in Manufacturing, IT, and Controls to achieve project deliverables.
  • Obtain written customer change orders for any work beyond the original contract scope before proceeding.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and third parties.
  • Manage multiple concurrent project tasks utilizing formal project management techniques and tools.
  • Direct and coordinate the efforts of both on-site and remote project team members.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to customer staff for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate appropriate resources for each project.
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports, monitoring time tracking, including billable versus non-billable hours.
  • Understand project objectives, risks, technical requirements, and resource needs.

Additional Duties:

  • Continuously enhance project productivity to improve company profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site.
  • Facilitate and participate in all relevant project meetings with subcontractors and client representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the material handling sector is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to engage with personnel at all levels, from technical staff to executive management, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities, self-motivation, assertiveness, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial skills necessary for managing contracts and change orders with subcontractors and vendors.
