Your Role

As a Fire Safety Systems Technician, you will:

  • Install, program, configure, commission, and maintain Fire Alarm and Access Control Systems, including brands such as Simplex and Kidde.
  • Ensure timely project execution within designated installation hours.
  • Collaborate with project managers to address discrepancies and coordination challenges.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to optimize installation efficiency.
  • Conduct customer training on system operations and provide ongoing support.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service through effective communication.
  • Complete necessary project documentation promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What We Look For

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in interpreting blueprints and operational manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses as per regulations.
  • Physical capability to handle equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various positions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Team leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a diploma in Fire Protection or Electrical/Electronic fields.
  • NICET Level II certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year.
  • Familiarity with local Fire Codes.
  • Experience with low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems.
