This Teaching Assistant Specialist position requires a highly motivated and organized individual who can support the daily operations of our childcare program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing quality care and education to young children, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth in children.

Job Duties:

  • ">
  • Report daily to the assigned hallway and TSS Lead to get daily classroom assignment.">
  • Maintain flexibility in emergent needs and response times for overall program coverage and success.">
  • Support Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment by following program standards, policies, and procedures.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • ECE Certificate or Professional Development Plan.">
  • Preschool Classroom experience.">
  • Emergency Procedures training.">
  • Training in Creative Curriculum.">
  • Basic computer skills.">
  • Valid food handler's card.">
  • Valid First Aid and CPR card.">
  • Verification of a negative TB test.">
  • Proof of 1 MMR.">
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training.">
  • Reneew Annual Trainings - Safe Sleep; Shaken Baby.">
  • 30 hour STARS Training - Childcare basics (or proof of exemption).">
  • 10 hours STARS Annual Training.">
  • Enhancing Qualify of Early Learning In Service STARS Training with 6 months of hire.">
  • Valid Washington State Drivers License and required minimum liability insurance for WA State.">
  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required.">

Salary and Benefits:

">

The estimated salary for this position is $16.50 - $17.00 per hour, based on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, FSA, 403(b) Retirement, Additional Voluntary Benefits, Paid Holidays, PTO, Education Assistance Program, Employee Assistance Program, Longevity awards.
