Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse 4Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN4) to join our team at the Airway Heights Corrections Center. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work effectively with offenders, and contribute to a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the nursing process to deliver services and promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment of various health conditions.
  • Work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse to support the Department's mission.
  • Provide emergency medical care, including CPR, and participate in treatment and dressing changes, monitor vital signs, and assist with minor surgical procedures.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to other staff as appropriate, supervise the staff to whom functions have been delegated, and report the outcomes of delegated nursing tasks to the Registered Nurse or other supervising health care provider.
  • Practice professional nursing conduct at all times, self-evaluate, and be in attendance, capable, and competent to practice nursing as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with offenders, their families, other health care personnel, custody, and other institutional personnel, and protect the confidentiality of health records.
Qualifications:
  • Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Two years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR.
  • Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor, and track patient information, perform data entry, and word processing, and communicate via email, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work.
