Automation Service Specialist

Join Airgas, a leading provider of industrial gases and services, as an Automation Service Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining Airgas Safety standards and procedures, directing and supervising team installations and retrofits of Airgas fixed and flexible automation equipment, and troubleshooting and completing necessary repairs and routine maintenance on all types of Airgas equipment and products sold and maintained by the Advanced Fabrication Group.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and maintain Airgas Safety standards and procedures
- Direct and supervise team installations and retrofits of Airgas fixed and flexible automation equipment
- Troubleshoot and complete necessary repairs and routine maintenance on all types of Airgas equipment and products sold and maintained by the Advanced Fabrication Group
- Regional travel with extended periods of overnight stays required
- Ability to represent the Company to our customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist Regional Weld Process Specialists and local sales teams in technical sales support
- Maintain company provided diagnostic equipment, tools and other equipment in clean, good working condition and within manufacturer's recommendations
- Communicate with Regional Advanced Fab Director, Regional Service Manager and Service Coordinator(s) on the job status, daily activities and unsafe conditions at the job site continuously in real time through Service Software database and direct communication
- Associate Degree in Industrial Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Technical school; work experience could supersede educational requirements
- Valid state driver's license
- Minimum of 2 years of prior related electrical and or electronics repair experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Google suite applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Must have general mechanical aptitude
- Ability to plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent
