About the Role

Talascend is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Specialist to join our team in a contract opportunity in the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Management: Manage designated manufacturing equipment and technology in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Process Improvement: Coordinate safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale initiatives related to equipment and technology.
  • Procedure Development: Create Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) for time-based maintenance, mean time between failure, and equipment restoration.
  • Team Coaching: Provide coaching and mentoring to team members on World Class Manufacturing techniques and problem-solving.
  • Project Management: Actively participate and lead Kaizen project activities centered on Safety, Cost, Quality, and Throughput improvements.
Requirements
  • Local Availability: Must be local to the Toledo, Ohio area and available for any shift.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Automation experience with Project Management experience.
  • Skills: Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills; ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering field.
  • Experience: Experience in continuous improvement systems and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members; previous experience working in a union environment.
