Your Role as a Hearing Healthcare Specialist
A Hearing Healthcare Specialist is responsible for diagnosing and managing individuals with hearing impairments. Utilizing advanced technical equipment, you will conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for those experiencing hearing loss.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical diagnostic and management services for hearing, balance, and tinnitus disorders using a family-centered approach.
- Provide services in designated clinical areas, inpatient settings, and operating rooms as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all services rendered and complete administrative tasks, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Conduct daily and monthly equipment checks and calibrations.
- Participate in the education of residents and supervise student interns as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must be eligible for licensure from the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board upon hire.
- Must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within the new hire period and maintain certification.

Work Environment
This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a complex and sometimes high-pressure environment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist patients with mobility challenges.
- Good manual dexterity for handling small objects related to hearing aids and cochlear implants.
- Capability to transport audiology testing equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment
Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.
