We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design Lead to join EVONA, a Denver-based space company focused on developing next-generation satellites.

The ideal candidate will lead firmware development, particularly for FPGAs, from architecture to final deployment.

FPGA Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test firmware for advanced Field-Programmable Gate Arrays-based sensor products.
  • Oversee the firmware lifecycle: from requirements gathering to implementation and integration.
  • Work with high-performance FPGAs (Xilinx Ultrascale+, etc.), transceivers, and associated tools like Vivado.
  • Ensure firmware quality assurance using a CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with software QA engineers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and conduct design reviews to optimize system performance.

FPGA Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in firmware development, particularly FPGA design and high-speed transceivers (PCIE, 10GigE).
  • Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog/Verilog and experience with Agile development practices.
  • Experience in embedded systems, Python scripting, and Linux environments.
