Position Overview

This role focuses on the development of advanced signal-processing algorithms for wireless networking products. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and optimization of FPGA-based systems that support cutting-edge wireless technologies. The position is based in Irvine, CA, with a hybrid work model that includes a minimum of four days a week on-site, with occasional travel to the Los Angeles headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture Design: Design and develop digital architectures for wireless communication systems.
  • Signal Processing Implementation: Collaborate with systems engineers to design and implement fixed-point signal processing blocks.
  • RTL Design and Simulation: Perform RTL coding, simulation, and develop test benches for verification.
  • FPGA Synthesis and Timing Closure: Optimize FPGA designs for timing closure and synthesis.
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Verify and troubleshoot hardware designs using logic analyzers and other tools.
  • Cross-functional Support: Work closely with the RF and software engineering teams to ensure system integration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in FPGA design, or 4 years with a Master's degree, or 2 years with a PhD.
  • Proficient in fixed-point binary arithmetic and digital signal processing design.
  • Experience working with multiple clock-domain, high-utilization FPGA designs.
  • Proficiency with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs, and Vivado IDE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE).
  • Basic knowledge of MATLAB.
  • Experience with communication systems implemented on FPGA or ASIC designs.
