Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Coordinator to join our team at the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing intake assessments, resources, and referrals to residents in need of support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market the program to residents, including single parent heads-of-household and at-risk youth, to ensure proper recruitment and achievement of department goals.
  • Provide general case management, including intake, assessment, education, and referral of residents to service providers in the local community.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of services, ensuring they are provided on a regular, ongoing, and satisfactory basis.
  • Assist with the coordination of sponsor education events, including topics such as health care, job search seminars, life skills training, and digital literacy.
  • Collaborate with the FSS Master's Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator, and Referral Manager to ensure best practices and appropriate referrals are being made.
  • Communicate problems to respective Property Managers to modify service offerings or address global issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a social service setting, involving facilitating services, developing case plans, conducting intakes, assessments, and referral experience.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in TAAG and MS Office applications.
Work Environment

This position will work in an office environment and on Authority properties, which may cause the employee to experience a range in temperatures and other weather conditions. The noise level may be loud, and the environment may be more hazardous than a standard office environment.
