Special Education Teacher for Visually Impaired Students

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant Education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching students with visual impairments and a passion for providing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with visual impairments, incorporating braille literacy, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various educational settings, including inclusive classrooms and one-on-one settings.
- Stay current on research, technology, and best practices in visual impairment education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license in Visual Impairment (TVI) or ability to obtain certification/license.
- Previous experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired preferred.
