LPN - Novice Nurse

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as part of our Novice Nurse Training Program. This unique opportunity is designed for new grad LPNs/LVNs and those with less than one year of experience.
Program OverviewAs a Novice Nurse, you will partner with an experienced Maxim nurse who will provide real-time feedback, training opportunities, and mentorship. You will gain hands-on experience working 1-on-1 with a patient in the home setting, developing direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document effectiveness of intervention and progress toward established goals
- Intervene as applicable to changes in condition and report such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physician
- Document all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicate this information as needed
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, including universal precautions
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active LPN/LVN License
- Current CPR
- PPD or chest X-Ray if applicable
