Job Description:

The International Finance Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Global Development Impact Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Economics and Private Sector Vice Presidency, you will be responsible for analyzing economic sectors and identifying opportunities for private sector development.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze economic sectors and identify opportunities for private sector development.
  • Conduct ex-ante development impact assessments of investment projects in Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services (MAS) sectors with a focus on services.
  • Monitor project impact ex-post and provide feedback and lessons learnt to MAS operations teams.
  • Contribute to ongoing refinements of the Anticipated Impact Measurement and Monitoring (AIMM) sector frameworks.
  • Lead analytics aimed at understanding trends and developments in MAS sectors, with a focus on services, on the global and country level.
Requirements:
  • A PhD or Master's degree in Economics or a closely related field with solid training in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • At least 8 years of experience pertaining to economic analysis of MAS sectors, demonstrating analytical and research skills.
  • Strong understanding of one or more MAS sectors, the determinants of sector competitiveness, and the impacts and implications of different economic policy frameworks.
  • Experience in development impact measurement of private sector investment projects in DFIs, including designing development impact assessment frameworks, and assessing the development impact of private sector investments.
Working Conditions:

The position is based in the International Finance Corporation's headquarters in Washington D.C. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
