Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Energy Insights Analyst to join our team at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). This role will involve researching and monitoring global energy industry trends, identifying innovative energy projects carried out by EEI's international member companies, and providing support for various initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy issues, electricity, and climate change on an international scale. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent research, writing, and time management skills.

This is a hybrid position that requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trend Analysis: Identify key metrics to track among international membership to tell member and industry stories.
  • Presentation Development: Assist in creating presentation materials for quarterly member briefings.
  • Membership Benefits: Help develop updated membership benefits and orientation materials.
  • Library of Innovation: Accelerate membership storytelling through assisting in the launch and updating of the Library of Innovation with videos, new stories, and images.
  • Member News: Collect member news for monthly newsletters and implement a global current events section.
  • Drafting Articles: Draft articles pertaining to member company advancements and global industry issues.
  • Presentations: Create presentations that align with department needs and strategy on global industry trends related to load growth, demand drivers, transmission, clean energy technologies, electricity access, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or master's degree in energy-related field; 1-2 years of relevant internship/work experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise on energy issues, electricity, and climate change issues on the international scale, through coursework and/or field experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong research, writing, and time management skills, detail-oriented.
  • Fluency and proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and complete tasks on time.
  • Basic understanding of electricity sector and delivery.
  • Good communication skills, including ability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this role begins at $75,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on individual qualifications. Location: This is a hybrid position requiring residence in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and coming into the office a minimum of three days each week.
