POSITION OVERVIEW:
GeorgiaGov is in search of a Vice President of Academic Leadership who will oversee and assess institutional services, particularly in the realm of Academic Affairs. This role requires a dynamic leader to guide a diverse team dedicated to fulfilling the academic objectives and mission of the organization.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Strategically plans and organizes the division's operations to align with the organization's goals.
· Provides counsel to the President on all aspects concerning Academic Affairs.
· Reviews and recommends actions regarding the hiring, salary adjustments, promotions, or termination of faculty and staff within the Academic Affairs division.
· Manages the financial and budgetary operations of the division effectively.
· Encourages collaboration with other divisions, departments, programs, and essential campus units to improve educational quality both inside and outside the classroom.
· Develops a strategy to attract and retain highly qualified faculty, staff, and students, ensuring the acquisition of modern facilities, equipment, and technology.
· Stays informed about local and regional workforce trends and requirements.
· Monitors program enrollment, advises on the initiation or cessation of academic programs, and approves new curricula and modifications.
· Develops and assesses division personnel and processes to guarantee ongoing improvement and compliance.
· Evaluates the quality of academic programs to meet state standards and industry demands using metrics such as student learning outcomes, placement and graduation rates, and licensure results.
· Provides leadership for both programmatic and institutional accreditation processes.
· Engages in strategic planning and college-wide initiatives.
· Formulates and executes a plan to ensure adequate staffing, space, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
· Promotes, develops, and sustains articulation agreements.
· Oversees and assesses library services and facilities to continually enhance quality.
· Cultivates a high-performance environment characterized by effective leadership and a strong team orientation within the division.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· A Master's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
· An earned doctorate in higher education or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, retirement options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
