Responsibilities
The faculty member will teach basic musculoskeletal content and other courses in the Physical Therapy curriculum, conduct research, and engage in service responsibilities. The position is an academic (10 month), tenure track appointment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have an earned DPT in physical therapy, an earned academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, DSc, EdD) or active progression toward an academic doctorate, and an active, unrestricted PT license and eligibility for a Georgia PT license. Additionally, the candidate should have contemporary expertise beyond entry-level education in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and a willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced certification or fellowship in a specialty area of physical therapy, experience in full-time teaching/administration in a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant program, and contemporary knowledge in acute care, sports, pelvic health, and leadership and management are preferred qualifications.
