Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and assist patients for their scheduled appointments.
  • Support healthcare providers during patient assessments.
  • Collect pre-examination data and document patient medical histories.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and processing.
  • Gather and evaluate patient information for billing and registration, ensuring accurate data entry into our electronic systems.
  • Collect laboratory samples, prepare slides, and conduct specific tests according to established protocols.
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare microscope slides and maintain detailed records in patient files.
  • Deliver clinical support services to community clinics, ensuring prompt handling of testing and specimens.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of medical and office supplies.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of patient examination areas.
  • Respond to phone inquiries regarding clinic services and provide necessary patient information.
  • Perform light administrative tasks, including typing duties.
  • Organize and maintain medical record files, including patient charts and invoices for third-party payers.
  • Ensure precise documentation is entered into the electronic health record system.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Valid PPD or Chest X-Ray documentation.
  • MMR vaccination is necessary.
  • Associate degree in a health-related field is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Valid Phlebotomy certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a medical office environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with video conferencing tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, or Webex is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
