About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computer-Aided Design Drafter to join our team at Compunnel Inc. as a Mechanical Drafter Technician.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Drafter Technician, you will work closely with mechanical design engineers to prepare detailed design and drawings for mechanical components. This includes maintenance of MCAD component library and performing structural analysis using SolidWorks or other analysis tools, such as Ansys Mechanical, with guidance from engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience and proficiency using 3D CAD modeling tools such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, Creo, CATIA
  • 5+ years' experience drafting manufacturing drawings per ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T standards
  • Understanding of High Volume manufacturing processes, such as high pressure die casting, metal stamping, extrusion, injection molding, etc.
  • Demonstrated good verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Data Management (PDM) tools such as Windchill
  • Experience using structural simulation tools, such as Solidworks, ANSYS-Mechanical
