Key Responsibilities- Plan, oversee, and mentor engineers performing technical assignments on engineering projects/programs.
- Develop and direct teams performing civil/remedial engineering at complex sites, including former mining facilities.
- Provide technical review/oversight/mentoring of environmental engineering teams to ensure compliance with environmental laws, company standards, contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Oversee development and execution of engineering teams performing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Plan and direct business development and marketing strategies/activities to capture new clients for WSP USA.
- Guide and oversee proposal teams that are developing and completing large-scale proposals.
- Develop and guide civil/environmental engineering and remediation teams to ensure high-quality products that meet company financial goals.
- Mentor civil/environmental staff to identify engineering discrepancies and guide them to successful resolution.
- Responsible for performing engineering review and guidance to staff who are developing/completing technical calculations and reports.
- Represent WSP USA and interact in a professional manner with clients, regulators, and subcontractors.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 10 or more years of experience working as an engineer.
- PE (California) required.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a team and achieve team objectives.
- Master's degree in engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Project management experience/training.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR).
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
- Working knowledge of and/or experience with federal CERCLA (Superfund) regulations and processes, especially with environmental feasibility studies and remediation.
