GEI Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Drafter/Designer to join our team in Rancho Cordova, California. As a key member of our design practice, you will be responsible for preparing engineering design drawings and figures for various project types, including dams, levees, hydraulic structures, canals, pump stations, building foundations, civil site design, water supply systems, and retaining walls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and layout of grading plans, heavy civil projects, and roadways
  • Detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures
  • Implementation of CAD standards based on project and client needs
Requirements:
  • A.S. Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
  • 10+ years of computer-aided design and drafting experience
  • Knowledge of drafting and design with AutoCAD Civil3D, including alignments, profiles, sections, plan views, surfaces, grading groups, corridors, point data, blocks, label styles, data shortcuts, and details
  • Ability to create subassemblies using Subassembly Composer and generate quantity take-offs using AutoCAD
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D 2020 or higher and customization/programming experience with AutoCAD is preferred
  • Knowledge of pipe networks and pressure networks is a plus, as is structural 3D drafting and design experience with Revit or BIM software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
