Position Overview
We are in search of a Senior Financial Consultant to join our dynamic team within the healthcare sector. This position is vital to our financial operations and requires an experienced professional with a strong affinity for numbers and financial analysis. The Senior Financial Consultant will manage a variety of financial tasks, including but not limited to, general ledger responsibilities, financial reporting, budgeting, and journal entries. Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Financial Consultant, your duties will encompass:
1. Overseeing daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Participating in routine tax audits and payroll processing.
3. Preparing budget reports and revenue forecasts.
4. Managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
5. Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting team.
6. Organizing financial data into actionable insights and maintaining accurate records.
7. Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
8. Establishing and enforcing sound accounting methods, policies, and principles.
9. Preparing financial statements and analyses for monthly and annual reporting.
10. Utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
3. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
4. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
7. Advanced MS Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Proficiency in quantitative skills and numerical aptitude.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to lead and supervise effectively.
