Role Responsibilities:

The ES Clerk II will perform a variety of clerical support functions within a service delivery office. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clerical assistance to Eligibility Operations staff.
  • Processing incoming mail, including opening and date-stamping applications and supporting documents.
  • Reviewing applications for necessary signatures, dates, and accompanying documents.
  • Logging applications and assigning complete applications for processing.
  • Returning incomplete applications to clients and assisting with their completion when needed.
  • Copying and returning original documents upon client request.
  • Responding to client inquiries and requests for assistance.

This position requires detail-oriented individuals with the ability to apply complex policies and procedures effectively.


Essential Functions:

The successful candidate will:

  • Attend work regularly and predictably in accordance with agency leave policies.
  • Prepare and proofread various documents, including correspondence and forms, using a personal computer or typewriter.
  • Communicate effectively with others to provide, exchange, or verify information and resolve issues.
  • Open, date, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and logs, including filing, retrieving, and purging as necessary.
  • Batch forms prior to data entry and assemble materials into packets.
  • Screen, code, correct, and data enter documents.
  • Be available for occasional overtime as required by management.
  • Work efficiently in a high-pressure environment, meeting strict deadlines.

  • Ability to meet specified deadlines consistently.
