">We are seeking a skilled and experienced Critical Care Transport Team Member to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. This is a full-time, rotating shift position that requires excellent critical thinking skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
">About the Role">This position involves working as part of a dynamic transport team, responsible for the assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients during transport. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and work towards achieving desired patient outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of systems, processes, and programs to improve quality patient care and increase nursing efficiency throughout the transport process.

- Assess, treat, manage, control, diagnose, and care for patients during transport">
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery">
- Develop and implement plans for improving quality patient care and increasing nursing efficiency">
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and transport activities">
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes">
- Develop and deliver educational programs for staff on transport-related topics">
- Foster a culture of safety and quality within the transport team">
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Administrative Director">
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to provide exceptional patient care, including but not limited to:">
- Critical care transport experience">
- Routine and critical procedures for neonatal and pediatric patients">
- Anatomy and physiology knowledge">
- Good judgment and decision-making skills">
- Ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient problems">
- Expertise in transport equipment and modalities, emergency care procedures, oxygen delivery capabilities, and patient management at high altitudes">
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills">
- Ability to foster and facilitate collaborative relationships">
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills">
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred">
- ">
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Texas">
- Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in adult, pediatric, neonatal critical care, or emergency required">
- Critical care transport experience preferred">
- Current CPR Training program required">
- Current ACLS, PALS, and/or APLS certifications">
- NRP and STABLE provider certifications within three months of employment">
- Completion of ATNC or auditing of TNCC or ENPC within the first year of employment">
- Completion of PNCCT, TNATC, and advanced flight physiology certification within two years of employment">
- Completion of CTRN and CFRN or C-NPT within two years of employment">
- CCRN certification preferred">
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree">
