Role Responsibilities

As a Lead Educator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the growth and well-being of preschool-aged children
  • Designing engaging, thematic units that stimulate children's curiosity and support their developmental milestones
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of inquiry-based learning activities tailored to individual children's needs
  • Interacting with children through positive reinforcement, nurturing care, and playful engagement
  • Maintaining open communication with families regarding their children's progress and development
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy environment through diligent supervision and adherence to safety protocols

  • Possess 3-5 years of experience in a lead teaching role
  • Hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, along with New York State Early Childhood Certification, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with appropriate certification
  • Value building trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Are certified or willing to become certified in CPR and First Aid
  • Are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Are open to receiving a flu vaccination (specific to certain locations)

What We Provide:

Competitive Salary and Benefits: Our Lead Educators receive salaries ranging from $45,000 to $65,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Full-time staff enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement savings plans, and commuter benefits.

Note: Applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to New York and possess independent work authorization in the U.S. Physical demands of this role include sitting and standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
