OUR MISSION
The BRICK Education Network (BEN) is dedicated to dismantling obstacles to academic achievement for students. Our pioneering approach combines a tailored educational experience with essential family support systems, ensuring that every child can thrive. We envision a future where every child has an unobstructed path to realizing their boundless potential.
BRICK operates in two regions: Gateway Academy in Newark, New Jersey, and BRICK Buffalo Academy in Buffalo, New York.
Gateway Academy Charter School was established through the merger of Achieve Community Charter School (K-8) and People's Preparatory Charter School (9-12), both of which have been serving the Newark community for over a decade. As a comprehensive K-12 institution, we initiate our college-preparatory curriculum in kindergarten, aiming to yield improved outcomes for Newark students for generations. We are more than just an educational institution; we are a holistic support system that extends from early childhood to career readiness. Our families benefit from complimentary wraparound services, including prenatal care, career guidance, and housing assistance. Our high school graduates receive up to six years of post-graduate support. Gateway Academy is committed to attracting a diverse team dedicated to fostering our students' intellectual and personal growth, preparing them for college and empowering them to shape their futures.
