Job Title: Intake Specialist

Bellefaire JCB is a leading provider of mental health, substance abuse, education, and prevention services. Our team is dedicated to helping youth and their families achieve resiliency, dignity, and self-sufficiency.

Job Summary:

The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in our Care Management Entity (CME) team. This position engages clients and their families to provide care coordination services through OhioRISE and initiates the completion of the CANS assessment and intake paperwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate clinical assessments based on verbal, written, and/or face-to-face interviews to determine the appropriate level of treatment for clients.
  • Provide face-to-face admission with clients and guardians, completing all required clinical and administrative paperwork.
  • Make recommendations for agencies in the community or across the country if Bellefaire JCB is unable to cover the needed service.
  • Assist in departmental coverage of incoming referrals, outreach, and CANS assessments.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of all types of referrals, representing the Agency's service array.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required. A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid Ohio LSW, LISW, or PCC is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the mental health field is required. Experience working with youth and their families is preferred.
