Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Indiana Internal Medicine Consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, focusing on employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action, benefits management, and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all HRIS items and train staff on the platform.
  • Perform duties related to payroll operations, including maintaining payroll information and updating payroll records, processing time records, and processing payroll for all staff.
  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
  • Organize new hire orientation for all new hires and rehires, including completion of payroll and benefit information and reviewing company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and track all employee disciplinary action.
  • Coach, counsel, and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain and process all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attend unemployment hearings when necessary.
  • Assist with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews).
  • Act as an employee relations specialist.
  • Monitor tardy and absenteeism reports and ensure proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems. Report vacation, sick, personal day, and holiday use to payroll and scheduling.
  • Maintain employee personnel files.
  • Maintain FMLA and other leave requests.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute the employee roster.
  • Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audit Forms I-9.
  • Distribute and monitor employee performance evaluations and ensure they are done in a timely manner (i.e., three months, six months, one year, and yearly thereafter).
  • Update, monitor, and maintain eligible salary adjustments/increases based on three- and six-month and one-year evaluations.
  • Report, maintain, and monitor all workers' compensation case files; follow-up on open cases.
  • Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans. Review benefits with employees and process enrollment, cancellation, or changes. Organize and manage annual open enrollment communications and election process. Maintain and distribute list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan. Verify benefit billing accuracy and process for payment.
  • Administer COBRA for group health plans.
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or three to five years of HR generalist experience.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other human resource programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience with Payroll/HR software. (Paylocity experience a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
