Job Summary:

As a Janitorial Supervisor Working, you will oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff on site to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers. You will also participate in daily cleaning tasks as required. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train the janitorial staff to ensure high-quality cleaning services.
  • Designate shift and area work assignments to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage employee relations and performance issues, documenting and reporting to management or HR as needed.
  • Review employee timekeeping to ensure compliance with company policies and complete payroll documents accurately.
  • Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify quality concerns or project work needed, completing and submitting inspection reports.
  • Communicate with management to identify and address any special project work requirements.
  • Operate floor cleaning equipment as needed, including buffers, walk-behind sweepers, and spot-carpet cleaners.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns or complaints.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, reporting and investigating accidents as necessary.
  • Complete training courses as required to maintain professional development.
  • Clean restrooms, break-rooms, common areas, dust, and remove trash.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed.
  • Perform advanced floor care work as required.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • High integrity and strong judgment required.
