Development Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our team at the Stone Research Foundation. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to pioneer new treatments that accelerate healing and enable people to stay active through research, development, innovation, and education.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Director of Development: Collaborate with the Director of Development to develop and implement fundraising strategies, including donor prospecting, research, and cultivation.
- Donor Relations and Communications: Serve as the primary contact for inquiries and requests from donors, partners, volunteers, and key constituents, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely responses.
- Development and Communications Activities: Coordinate all development and communications activities associated with cultivation, stewardship, solicitation, and recognition of donors and donor prospects, including donor events, direct mailing fundraising campaigns, and appeals.
- Major Gift Donor Prospecting and Research: Coordinate major gift donor prospecting and research, preparing profiles on donors and identifying opportunities for cultivation and solicitation.
- Content Creation and Development: Assist in creating compelling and visually appealing content, including print collateral, white papers, proposals, and digital content for social media, email newsletters, and the website.
- Presentation and Storytelling: Assist in creating inspiring content and stories, collaborating with freelance designers and videographers to develop engaging presentations for fundraising pitches and academic conferences.
- Community Outreach and Engagement: Interact with patients to capture their recovery stories and athletic accomplishments, uploading, scheduling, and monitoring community outreach posts on all social media platforms.
- Commitment to the Stone Research Foundation's Mission: Share our passion for pioneering new treatments that accelerate healing and enable people to stay active.
- Non-Profit Development and Communications Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in non-profit development and communications, with a strong understanding of donor relations, fundraising strategies, and communications best practices.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with iWave donor research software and e-Tapestry/Broadband or similar tools and database, as well as with Excel, data reporting, gift processing, donor acknowledgments, and program administration.
- Strong Administrative and Communication Skills: Excellent administrative skills, with a strong donor relations and customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 annually, DOE, as well as excellent benefits, including 100% medical, dental, vision insurance premiums, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, a retirement plan, and more.
