About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Surgery department at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, competent nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and provide education to patients and families on post-operative care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients undergoing surgery
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital sign checks, and monitoring patient condition
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and promote a smooth transition from preoperative to postoperative care
  • Conduct patient education on postoperative care, wound management, and pain control
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and safety

Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's) from an accredited institution
  • Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas
  • BLS certification upon hire and ACLS certification within 3 months of employment
  • PALS certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, as well as a generous paid time off policy.
